Botox
Botox is a cosmetic treatment that involves injecting a neurotoxin called Botulinum toxin into specific muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It works by temporarily paralyzing the targeted muscles, preventing them from contracting, which smoothens the skin.
The effects of Botox typically last for about three to six months. After this period, the muscles gradually regain their function, and wrinkles may start to reappear.
Botox can be used in various areas, including the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet around the eyes, and lines around the mouth.
